Leveraging Salesforce Using Mobile Applications Written (Once) In React Native 

I have not worked with the Live Chat API/integration before, but this article was using a Spring Boot service to act as middleware between React and the Salesforce.

Another option for your inquiry might be to connect to a stream-based URI (if one exists) directly from React to Salesforce Live Chat.
